You will be following an online learning program called Ocean School. Watch the short video below for an introduction.
There are currently two modules to choose from with a third coming soon.
Each module has videos, lessons and interactive activities.
Click here to choose a module to get started. You will need to create a free account with a working email address. Surrey students can use their surreyschools email ([email protected]) to sign up. If you don't now how to check your surreyschools email, please ask your teacher.
Each module is self-led. Once you are logged in and started just follow the prompts.

- What are some different ways that scientists learn more about the oceans?
- What are some ways that human activities damage ocean ecosystems?
- What are steps that individuals can take to protect the oceans?
- Why should we care about protecting the ocean? How does the ocean impact our lives?
Share Your Learning
- Upon completing a module, complete a brief report to summarize your learning.
- Visit the website of a charity that protects the oceans. Make a plan to take action to help ocean conservation.
- Consider preparing a TED Talk to inspire other students to take action for ocean conservation.
